Jolanta Wagner
Graduated from the State Higher School of Visual Arts gaining her diploma at the Faculty of Textile in 1973. She has been a lecturer at her alma mater – now called the Strzemiński Academy of Art Łódź – since 1974. A full professor since 2002, she heads the Interdisciplinary Visual Activities Studio there. She works with drawing, painting, and spatial activities. She has presented her works at over 50 individual and 300 collective exhibitions in Poland and abroad. She has received over a dozen awards at various competitions and exhibitions.
- Grand Prix at the 6th International Exhibition of Portrait, Drawings and Graphics in Tuzla, Yugoslavia, 1990;
- The Mayor’s Award at the 2nd International Drawing Competition in Wrocław, Poland, 2003;
- The Honorary Certificate of the Highest Quality at the 4th International Biennale of Drawing in Pilzno, Czech Republic, 2004;
- The Artist Association Europe Award at the 5th International Biennale of Drawing, Pilzno, Czech Republic, 2006,
as well as several prizes at domestic competitions.
