Marta Ostajewska
D.F.A. – an artist, performer, and editor-in-chief of Powidoki, an artistic and scientific magazine. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent specializing in Performance Art, and the Polish Philology at the University of Lodz specializing in the Theory of Culture. She has participated in numerous international projects and festivals, such as: RIAP in Canada, Human Hotel: Kopenhagen artistic residence in Denmark, IMAGINARIUS in Portugal, BIO50 in Ljubljana, Slovenia, PAB OPEN 2015 and PAB OPEN 2017 in Bergen, Norway, and INTERAKCJE International Action Art Festival in Piotrków Trybunalski, Poland. She received a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and an artistic scholarship from the President of Łódź (2014).
She participated in ENGHUM and COLING international research projects, and as a result spent five months at the Smithsonian Institution in DC, Washington, USA (2019). She has published and actively participated in various international site-specific conferences, incl. ESAP in Porto, Portugal (2014) and IFTR 2018 in Belgrade, Serbia. She is interested in performance, the hidden world, and a relation between a space, a body and an object. A follower of the object-oriented ontology, and democracy of objects and spaces who liberates them from their utilitarian forms.
